Simonetta Juniper BSc (Hons), MBACP (Accred), EMDR Practitioner
My name is Simonetta (Sim) and I trained as an Integrative Counsellor supporting clients with a varied range of personal issues including anxiety, low self-esteem and bereavement.
I believe that everyone has the necessary inner resources to work through their own issues, but sometimes life events can get in the way of our ability to see the way forward. When that happens, counselling can offer the necessary support to regain focus and inner strength to live a happy and fulfilled life. Within a warm and supportive counselling relationship, I offer an Integrative approach including different tools and strategies, matched to the situation of each individual. I offer a safe and non-judgemental service as I believe that a therapeutic relationship, built on mutual trust is fundamental in moving forward towards achieving the changes which will lead to a more fulfilled and complete life.
My core theory is Person-Centred but I am also able to draw on Cognitive Behavioural techniques and Transactional Analysis elements. I am passionate about continually improving my way of practising and, following my Diploma I decided to deepen my knowledge of CBT techniques and obtained a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with the Centre of Excellence. I have also had some recent training in Career and Life Coaching skills.
Aside from counselling, I have been working within the Social Care setting for 10+ years and this has allowed me to gain a great deal of experience in dealing with people from all walks of life. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to help people with the use of talking therapies.
What my clients say (names have been changed for confidentiality):
“Sim was great, really flexible in finding the right time, fantastic approach, I was really grateful for the help and support” (Amy)
“Simonetta made me feel very comfortable. She listened carefully, I felt supported and encouraged. Also optimistic for the future” (Caroline)

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
