I am a counselling psychologist and offer Counselling and Psychotherapy for Individuals experiencing anxiety, depression and emotional problems in their personal, work or family life. I also specialise in sex, relationship and couple therapy for both individuals or couples.
Counselling is a very individual experience and as a counselling psychologist I am committed to seeing each person or couple within the particular circumstances of their lives as no two people or issues are quite the same. I have been working as a therapist for over 30 years and hope I bring an open and accepting perspective to help you whatever your background, circumstances or issues.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have had 30 years experience working in private practice and have worked within a London Teaching Hospital and a GP practice as a psychologist and therapist. I set up and run a counselling service within an Inner London Borough for a user led charity. I am also a visiting lecturer for various counselling and counselling psychology courses.
I am registered with the HCPC as a Counselling Psychologist, and am a Chartered Psychologist with The British Psychological Society (C.Psychol).
I am also a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy and a General Member of College of Sexual & Relationship Therapists.
I have a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and a MSc in Counselling Psychology. In addition I studied psychosexual counselling & relationship therapy for 3 years (CPsSC).
Prior to becoming a Chartered Psychologist, I was a graduate from Goldsmiths School of Art, London and worked in the creative arts for some years. As a result I believe I have a particular understanding of the creative world, the creative process and its pressures on work and relationships.
