About me

I am a Systemic and Family Psychotherapist and Registered Mental Health Nurse with an interest with working with individuals, couples and families with various mental health issues. I also offer EMDR, a trauma therapy that is extremely effective in treating trauma, anxiety and many other mental health issues. More recently I have been supporting employees within the NHS who may be off work with stress and trauma to recover and return to work utilising a whole systems approach over the last year with positive results. I am passionate about making sure the support I offer is tailored to meet the goals of my clients.

I offer a systemic way of viewing problems that is different to seeing problems as originating within the individual. I have been interested in supporting individuals who may have had a negative experience of Covid-19 either as a result of the illness or the restrictions and policies that were put in place that placed a great strain on all of us.

I have worked within health for 25 years and remain dedicated to helping my clients improve their lives by helping people develop a different relationship to their problems. I also have my own lived experience of mental health issues that helps me be more reflexive of my client's needs. In my spare time, I enjoy running and cycling.
