My Aim and Unique Offering
The warning signs of impaired mental health include increased anger and irritability, noticeable changes in energy levels and appetite, worrying or feeling stressed more than before, and thoughts and behaviours that can affect your private, social and working life.
The aim from the very first session is to help my clients resolve their current difficulties, and to create positive changes in both their personal and professional lives.
I hold a belief that no one single approach can treat all clients. That is why I use an integrative counselling and psychotherapy approach that combines different therapeutic approaches and tools to fit the individual need of each client.
My integrative approach includes the use and practice of Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Psychoanalytical Therapies.
As an experienced integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, with vast experience from within the corporate sector through my Investment Banking career, and family man, I have experienced many of the areas and issues that can impact our lives. I believe that this enables me to offer a service suited to people from a wide range of backgrounds.
Areas I Can Help You With
Areas that my individual therapy sessions have helped clients with include but not limited to:
addiction, affairs and betrayals, anger management issues, anxiety, bereavement, career, confidence and low self-esteem, depression, divorce and separation, dreams, family issues, feeling sad, low mood, phobias, relationships, work-related stress, work life balance.
I also offer a bespoke MenSpace program(see lower down profile) designed for men. This program is specifically designed for males who for certain reasons are either not aware that their mental fitness is poor, or if aware, decide to keep it to themselves. The program is a one on one solution focussed approach with a suggested duration of 6 sessions.
Free Initial Consultation
I also understand that trying to choose the right therapist can be confusing. That's why I offer a free initial first consultation by phone or Skype to provide a space where I can listen to what you need and you can hear how I can help.

Don't Suffer in Silence
This program is designed to help prevent other men making the same mistakes I made.
All the signs of impaired mental health were there. I was becoming increasingly more irritable and angry. My appetite was lower and my energy level had dropped. The headaches and stomach aches were more frequent. I began to worry a lot more than usual and felt stressed all the time. I also began to drink more than usual, and became more distant.
Yet despite this and the effects it was having on my family life and career, I chose to suffer in silence.
I nearly lost everything that I loved and cherished. By drawing on my personal and professional experience I can help other men in similar situations to find the solutions to their current difficulties and discover how to make positive changes in their lives.
The MenSpace program is specifically designed for males who for certain reasons are either not aware that their mental health is being negatively impacted by issues such as anxiety, depression and stress, or if aware, decide to keep it to themselves. The program is a one on one solution focussed approach with a suggested duration of 6 sessions.
In 2018, 75% of all suicides in the UK were male. Believing they can deal with it, not wishing to burden anyone, embarrassment, stigma, not wanting to appear weak, and no one to talk to, are all reasons given why men chose to suffer on their own and in silence. With approximately 14 men each day taking their life by suicide in the UK in 2018, something needs to change.
