About me

Initially, we will focus on gaining a clear understanding of what you’re experiencing and the underlying factors contributing to your challenges. Increased self-awareness is a vital step toward positive change. Many clients have discovered unhelpful, unconscious negative beliefs that were holding them back. Together, we work on challenging and replacing these beliefs while fostering greater self-acceptance.

Clients often share that they value my empathetic listening and my ability to ask thoughtful questions that help them gain deeper insight into themselves.

Some clients have struggled with overwhelming emotions that made daily life difficult. By identifying their emotional triggers and exploring the root causes—often linked to past negative experiences—they’ve gained meaningful understanding and relief. As a trauma-informed therapist, I am experienced in helping clients process emotional pain and overcome unhelpful beliefs stemming from traumatic events.

Working through negative thoughts and feelings creates space for greater self-acceptance and positive thinking, leading to a healthier and more fulfilling relationship with yourself and others.

Training, qualifications & experience

I currently offer online counselling, providing both short- and long-term individual therapy for adults. I have experience supporting clients facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, trauma, stress, low mood, anger, relational issues, low self-worth, and a lack of purpose.

My professional background includes working in diverse mental health settings such as prisons, non-profit organisations, and employee assistance programmes.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling and take an integrative approach, drawing from various psychological methods to tailor our work to your unique needs. Together, we will collaborate to find the most effective path forward for you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
