Simi Valecha HCPC
I am an Integrative Arts Psychotherapist trained in London and working in the Hertfordshire Area and in Central London.
With an integrative training and experience working in the statutory sector, both inpatient and outpatient wards, I have successfully helped people who have a range of issues and severity of presenting problems. Whether you are struggling with a current difficult issue causing you distress and unable to cope, or you have a longstanding mental health issue, finding a therapist who can work with your individual needs is what will make the most difference to the unique person that is you.
I am trained to work with 7 forms of art as part of the therapeutic process which is a form of non verbal communication. Sometimes, words fail us, and we may use metaphor and imagery to help express how we may feel.
I offer Art based materials, Sculpture/Clay, drama/puppetry, Sandplay, Poetry, Music, Dance/Movement. We can use the arts in a supportive way and it is not required that you have any experience or knowledge in the arts and you are not obliged to work with the arts should that be your choice.
Therapy aims are personal and are co-created at the beginning of the therapeutic journey in order to support your process and progress. I look forward to hearing from you.
