Sian Schofield - City Bee Therapy - EMDR Consultant, CBT & Counselling
Sometimes you can’t put your finger on what is bothering you and that’s fine, I can help you do that and together we can work out the best way forward.
Here are just some of the things I regularly help people with: Feeling depressed and low, sleep and motivation problems; trauma, maybe with flashbacks, nightmares and avoidance; uncontrollable worrying; panic attacks where you think you might die; strong fear of being negatively judged; workplace stress.
Many people just want to move on with their lives, let the past be filed away, stop battling with their feelings and gain some peace. Together we will look at ways of doing that.
I am accredited in three effective therapies - Counselling, CBT and EMDR. I specialise in trauma and am an accredited EMDR consultant, supervising others. EMDR helps you process 'stuck' past experiences that cause problems now, usually using eye movements. CBT is a problem solving, collaborative approach looking at how thoughts, feelings and behaviours interact.
There are problems; there are solutions. But in the end most people want someone to just 'get' them. Someone they can trust. Someone to listen, understand and help them make sense of what is happening.
That’s what I always strive to do.

Lots of people find it hard to make that first step towards therapy, but it's normal to feel nervous. You might never have got as far as this before and it can feel difficult, but it's great that you're starting something that can lead to positive changes for your future.
Call or email me and we can have a quick chat to answer any questions you might have, then, if you feel that you can work with me, we'll set up an appointment to discuss what you need. After that, it will feel much less scary! Hope to speak to you soon.
