About me

** I am currently seeing clients by zoom, telephone and face-to-face ** I am a UKCP accredited therapist and I work in an integretive and relational way. This means I am able to adapt my way of working according to your needs and concerns. During our sessions I will draw on a wide range of theories and approaches to help you.The therapeutic relationship that we build is at the heart of my work. I really believe that, through this strong and safe bond, real change and transformation can happen. As an experienced therapist I offer a warm, empathic and welcoming space where we can explore the issues that concern you.

For 20 years I worked as artist management in the music industry. A key role during this time was building strong relationships, supporting artists through many complex situations and enabling their transitions through many difficult areas in their lives.

I work as a counsellor for the NHS in a GP Practice as well as for schools where I have helped numerous clients with many different concerns. I'm experienced in dealing with anxiety, bereavement, low self-esteem, traumatic life events and working with the child within.

Alongside traditional talk therapy, I offer a chance to work creatively within the sessions. At times in sessions it can sometimes feel impossible to articulate a feeling or it may be too painful to use words. Some experiences are beyond words and you need a place to express the emotions and sensations. The use of creative arts is way to access the unconscious. I am trained in sandtray therapy and guided imagery which can allow us to access parts of ourselves that we may be unaware of or feel that we can’t change.

I currently have availability for adults and young people over 14.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
