About me
Hi, my name is Shivangi and I am an experienced, UKCP accredited psychotherapist. I work with adults offering sessions online via Zoom or face to face in West London. I offer both short term and long term/open ended therapy. I offer sessions in English, Hindi and Marathi language.
I am in integrative therapist which means I am able to draw on the wisdom of different theoretical approaches and concepts of psychotherapy. I work collaboratively with my clients on the issues that they bring to the therapy room, with the broader aim of bringing more awareness and making the therapy a transformative and healing experience.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Post Graduate Diploma and Advance Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy from Regent's University, London. I also hold a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from India.
My work is informed by attachment theory, existential approach, person centred approach, mindfulness and elements of CBT. I have experience in working with issues including but not limited to, depression, anxiety, sexuality, self-esteem, changes in life, relationships, cultural changes and adaptations, and willingness to gain a general deeper understanding of life.
Having moved to the UK over a decade ago, I understand the array of challenges that moving countries and cultures can bring, whether it is adjusting to a new language, a change of career or even a change in weather. I hold a special interest in helping such individuals navigate through these changes.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
