About me

I am a fully qualified Senior Accredited Counsellor on the National Counselling Society's register which is  accredited by the Professional Standards Authority, set up by the Department of Health. I am also an Individual Member of BACP.

I am committed to the values and principles of good practice standards set out in the National Counselling Society's Code of Ethical Practice and the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.

I work non-judgmentally with warmth, empathy and understanding and have a calm, gentle, caring approach.

I provide an initial free telephone discussion and reduced fee first session.

Counselling sessions are by telephone and Zoom video conferencing. Due to the current health situation my face to face service in Taunton is temporarily suspended.

My work is focused upon helping you to find your way to feeling and coping better, whatever the difficulties that are affecting the quality of your life.

I work with many areas of counselling including: Abuse, Anger, Anxiety, Bereavement, Depression, Disappointment , Eating Disorders, Infertility, Isolation, Loneliness, Low Self Confidence, Low Self Esteem, Miscarriage, Menopause, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic Attacks, Phobias, Postnatal Depression, Pregnancy and Birth, Relationship problems, Redundancy, Self Harm, Sexuality, Stress, Trauma, Work related uncertainty and Work related stress.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified, experienced and insured Accredited Counsellor.I  trained as an Integrative Counsellor. My training covered different counselling theories and approaches which I draw upon to suit the individual needs of my clients.

I am a Senior accredited member of the National Counselling Society and an Individual Member of the BACP.

I have an Advanced Diploma in Counselling also an Advanced Diploma in Counselling Supervision.

I am on the National Counselling Society's Register of Counsellor's,  which has been accredited under a programme set up by the Department of Health and administered by the Professional Standards Authority. Counsellor's on this register meet high standards which offer clients peace of mind and enhanced protection.

I attend regular training to update and further my counselling skills,  thus providing the best service to my clients.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
