About me

I offer Counselling & Psychotherapy to adults and young people, over 18 years of age, with a wide range of issues, such as: Anxiety, Depression, Self Esteem, Self Harm, Suicidality, Relationship, Trauma, Bereavement and Grief.

Therapy can be short or long term, tailored to your needs.

My core training was in Transactional Analysis (TA), however, I integrate in my work other modalities, as well.  If you are interested to know how I use TA in my work, please go to my website: www.shiridobsontherapy.com

I view Counselling and Psychotherapy as a dynamic process, created between us. I play an active part in this process by reflecting and asking questions. Our work together will empower you to be an active participant on your journey of change at your pace.

My aim is to support you in exploring and understanding what is concerning you in your life, shedding light on unhealthy patterns that you may have developed and replace them with new healthy ones, so you can gain relief and confidence in finding a way forward to live your life in full.

I see clients primarily online, via Zoom platform, at the moment, but can offer face-to-face sessions as well, if you prefer, in Hove clinic, where covid safety measures are in place.

Both platforms are done in a confidential setting, where we can connect and engage and have powerful moments and experiences in achieving profound outcomes.

Contact me for a no-obligation informal chat to explore how we can work together.

I am a member of UKATA & NCS, abide by their codes of ethics and am fully insured.

Further information

To help you get started -

I believe that it requires a lot of courage to take the first step in asking for professional support, whatever your circumstances are. So if you wish to move forward contact me for a no-obligation informal chat to share your concerns and  to determine if the therapy I offer and myself as a Counsellor are the right fit for you.

Then if we happy to carry on, we will set up our inital session.

In the inital session I will explain how the Counselling process works, we will talk about what do you want to get out of Counselling and we will also follow some formal procedure and assessments, which will enable us to form a working agreement between us.

Further on-going sessions will be normally on weekly basis, at the same day and time.
