About me

If you're struggling with the overwhelm of emotional or psychological issues, such as anxiety, depression, grief, or trauma... I welcome you here.

I understand that you may be feeling a sense of anxiety about choosing a new therapist, it's an important step and there are a lot of choices to make before deciding if I'm worthy of your trust. I get it.
You've landed on my profile for a reason, and so I extend an invitation for you to decide if I'm the counsellor and psychotherapist you're looking for. It just takes one call or email.

  • A little about me: I am a skilled and established therapist, listener and communicator. I offer integrative therapy that enables us to work at your pace, using an evidence-based intervention that has you and your needs at its core, and together we will explore those blockers that have prevented you from making a positive change in your life.
  • As your therapist: I will take an holistic approach, that enables you to voice your innermost thoughts and beliefs truly without judgment while working with past, possibly difficult, or traumatic, experiences and life events. We'll go at your pace and I'll walk alongside on a journey that empowers you to make informed choices that feel right for you going forward.

I currently work with adults and connect well with young people 12+.

  • Integrative Model - Person Centred integrated with Psychodynamic: This provides non-judgmental acceptance that allows you to feel valued and understood, creating a safe space to explore your vulnerabilities while exploring unresolved experiences and emotions from the past - allowing you to gain insight into behaviours that may feel overwhelming, confusing, or self-defeating.
  • I help you to work towards growth through positive change.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

We can discuss how counselling works, or arrange an assessment appointment - this enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and if I am the right therapist. Please get in touch to arrange your complimentary telephone call.

  • TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism (RQF) Newbury College

I'm qualified to work with adults and young people aged 12+ and people living with ADHD.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

I am trained and qualified in the modalities of Person-centred and Psychodynamic - working in the here and now and with your past.

I'm also creative, with a natural intuition for understanding and empathising beyond the words spoken and into the lived experiences we cannot always access or speak aloud. Looking inwards to Self; I fully celebrate and respect your autonomy to safely express yourself without the fear of judgement.

I advocate that it is important to come to therapy when you feel ready to do the work, and therefore recommend weekly, and consistent, sessions.
