It can be very confusing and even a daunting process to choose the right therapist. I hope I can make that process a little easier by telling you a little about myself. I am a Person-Centred therapist who takes a Humanistic approach in the counselling I provide. This means I am client lead and will work side by side with you rather than lead you in a directive way. As a Person-Centred therapist I believe my client knows best and I work with their autonomy allowing them to be self governing to increase their self confidence to make the right choices for themselves. I am non-judgemental in my practice and I endeavour to provide a safe, confidential and professional space for my clients to explore their issues in their own comfort.
Counselling has various different approaches as one approach of working in the therapeutic relationship may not suit the needs of all clients. This is why I am also trained in CBT skills (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) at Diploma level so I can adjust my service according to the needs of my clients. CBT is a directive method of working in the therapeutic relationship, in which the therapist is perceived to know best; and will lead the client with a treatment plan designed specifically to the needs of the individual client.

Trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem/confidence, bereavement, relationships, addiction, faith/spirituality, domestic abuse (sexual, physical, mental emotional, psychological, gaslighting, trafficking) isolation, hate crime, FGM, sexuality, LGBTQ, personality disorder, OCD.
I also worked with couples and welcome couples and family groups.
