About me

Hi, I'm Shereen, I am an integrative therapist who helps my clients by creating a bespoke approach to the issues they are facing.

I understand the decision to enter therapy can be a daunting one, especially if you're feeling sensitive about how therapy works and the material it might bring up.  I offer a secure and non-judgemental space to explore how your patterns of thought and behaviour may be contributing to feelings of depression and anxiety.

Using an approach tailored to your specific needs, I can help you:

-manage depressive thoughts
-let go of unhealthy attachments and feel more confident
-understand your decisions
-communicate better in your relationships
-manage anxiety and panic
-feel more grounded and present
-overcome complex trauma from early life

I don’t sit quietly on a couch and listen without offering you anything in return, my approach entails building a relationship and walking alongside as you journey through a difficult period.

I'm currently working at the Roehampton Priory using CBT and DBT skills with both individuals and groups. I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

UK Council for Psychotherapy

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

I have a wide breadth of experience working with various conditions and temperaments. My familiarity includes, but is not limited to the areas listed. If you have an issue or circumstance not mentioned above, please feel free to contact me so we can discuss if counselling is right for you.

Additional information

Therapy is an investment in yourself and often times paying for therapy can become a barrier to starting treatment.  Ask yourself how much would I pay to feel differently?

Due to conditions related to Covid-19, I'm currently working with clients online or via telephone.  If you are interested in telephone or online sessions, I suggest meeting weekly on an agreed day and time for 4-6 weeks and then determine how you'd like to proceed.  Sessions are 50 minutes in length.

Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday

I am currently available to see clients Thursdays and Fridays.
