Shereen Alexander, Dip. Couns and Psych; BACP
I understand the decision to enter therapy can be a daunting one, especially if you're feeling sensitive about how therapy works and the material it might bring up. I offer a secure and non-judgemental space to explore how your patterns of thought and behaviour may be contributing to feelings of depression and anxiety. Using an approach tailored to your specific needs, I can help you find the necessary tools to break the pattern of negative thoughts and allow you to cope with difficult emotions in order to:
-feel more confident
-understand your decisions
-communicate better in your relationship
-manage anxiety and panic
-feel more grounded and present
-overcome complex trauma from early life
-manage depressive thoughts
-let go of unhealthy attachments
If you're still unsure how therapy can help, email or text to book a free 10 minute phone consultation.
Former clients had the following to say:
"I felt like a ghost of myself when I began therapy with Shereen. After much hard work, I'm proud and relieved to feel embodied and more robust. I'm confident I can now handle the difficulties in life that previously had me so distraught."
"Shereen helped me understand the sources of my stress and anxiety. I really benefited from our sessions and appreciated having someone so caring to help get me through some really hard times".

Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
