Sheena Pickersgill BA (Hons), Reg.MBACP Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Coach
St. James House
28 Park Place
31 Leeds Road
I am an experienced and fully qualified counsellor, psychotherapist and coach. At Mindfresh Counselling, I aim to provide a safe space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and emotions. It is my aim to help people to talk about mental fitness just as we do physical fitness.
I offer a counselling and coaching service in welcoming, comfortable rooms in both Ilkley and in Leeds city centre (Park Place).
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (MBACP) and have a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am also a qualified NLP practitioner.
Life is often hard and can challenge us in many ways. You may be feeling anxious, lack confidence, be suffering loss or experiencing other significant change in your life.
Exploring your thoughts, feeling and emotions in a supportive environment can provide clarity and help to begin the healing process.
It is important that our sessions are client-led as each person is unique. I work with my clients to facilitate healing by ensuring they access their own inner resources.
I am an integrative counsellor and that means that as a result of my varied experience, I am able to draw upon a range of different counselling and coaching practices to support my clients.
See the website at www.mindfreshcounselling.co.uk for more information and to see my recent blogs.

I meet with clients in welcoming, comfortable and confidential rooms in Leeds city centre and Ilkley.
Taking that first step to talk with a qualified counsellor can sometimes feel daunting and so I offer an initial half-hour discussion free of charge so that you can meet with me and ask any questions that you might have. If you decide that you would like to continue with our sessions then you can either book a block of sessions or choose to continue on a week-by-week basis.
Fees are £60 per 50 minute session. Consessions are available for students.
In addition to individual counselling and coaching, Mindfresh offers the following services;
Business and organisation support:
Mindfresh counselling workshops covering a range of topics to help employers to improve the wellbeing of the employees. I help to improve attendance and motivation and create and maintain a great place to work.
Leader behaviours may sometimes, unwittingly, add to employee feelings of anxiety, alternatively, leaders can create a supportive environment for their teams to work. I offer a successful leadership coaching programme to help leaders consider their own approach and to explore how they might improve engagement. I also offer one to one counselling in the workplace for employees.
Please call for an initial discussion.
Schools & Colleges:
Mindfresh offers workshops for teachers and students on a range of topics. I also offer a counselling service to schools and colleges.
I have experience of counselling young people in the education environment so please call me for an initial discussion.
Walk and Talk Groups:
Sometimes it feels easier to talk when you are outside and walking. I therefore offer group walk and talk sessions on Ilkley Moor. We choose a different topic each time we walk. Please give us a call if you are interested.
