I am a Person-Centred Counsellor which means my theoretical and practical approach is Person-Centred. This approach is grounded in a belief in the resources of an individual to enable and effect change, self-healing; For example, in moving from a distressed, stuck, depressed, overwhelmed or powerless experience of living to something which enables a greater sense of ‘well-being’. Consequently I work with a range of unique experiences which are brought to the counselling room by individuals. Central to this approach is the development of a therapeutic relationship, facilitated in an inviting, safe, confidential, non-judgemental space.
My particular interest is in our unique experience and relationship with the natural landscape and its potential for therapy. I have created a counselling space which I hope reflects this.
I have experience of working with different age ranges. These include young people (16-18) and students (UCS/NUA).
Currently I am a core tutor for a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling.
I offer 50 minute sessions and I can offer clients both time sensitive and longer term work.
Please call or email for further information on the counselling I offer.
