About me

Considering counselling can feel daunting & you you may feel a little confused by who to choose & what to expect . It might be helpful to consider a few things before you start:

*am I ready to explore my thoughts & feelings?

*am I ready to open up?

*what do I want to achieve?

*am I doing this for me?

*is the right time for me?

if you feel have answered yes to some of these then maybe I can help you , so here’s a little bit about me:

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Pychotherapists and adhere to the ethical framework.

Counselling is a therapeutic process where counsellor and client connect at relational depth, it is a correlation of 2 people coming together to fully understand & value each other's experience at an intense level of psychological contact. This can be equally challenging and rewarding for both parties & forms the basis of a working alliance which can promote positive changes.

I qualified as a Person Centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist at Warwick University. My private practice is based in Rugby. The venue is fully accessible and conveniently located. Sessions take place in a therapeutic space and are handled discreetly.

Choosing to come to Counselling can feel challenging but if you trust in the process it can be rewarding and enable you to make changes or find acceptance in your life. I can offer you a therapeutic space to explore the emotional distress that overwhelms you or causes you to feel low or depressed. All enquiries are welcome by email or by telephone, if I am unavailable please leave me a message and I will aim to respond to you within 24hrs (please provide your preferred method of contact e.g. By Phone or email) .

I would like to Thank you for taking time to read my profile I hope it has given you some insight into what I offer as a person centred counsellor which might encourage you to consider engaging in therapy.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
