Sharon Wilkinson, Counsellor and Supervisor. MBACP, PG Dip, MA (Couns.)
I have availability for supervision, however my client times are currently full.
I know from my own experience how important it is to find a therapist that feels comfortable, so our first session would be an informal, no obligation meeting to ensure that we can work together to ease whatever difficulties you bring. I am a qualified counsellor/psychotherapist, BACP registered. I offer a confidential and non-judgemental place where it is possible to talk through and explore whatever may be feeling difficult for you at this time in your life.
Training, qualifications & experience
I received my post-graduate Diploma and MA in Counselling from the University of East Anglia. As well working in private practice as a counsellor and supervisor, I work as a mental health advisor with students in higher education. I also facilitate group supervisions and workshops in listening skills. I also work as an academic supervisor for students completing their MA in counselling.
Areas of counselling I deal with
I have experience of working with a wide range of issues - depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, isolation, addiction, sex addiction, food and eating disorders, self-harm, physical and sexual abuse, domestic and family difficulties.
Initial session £15, following sessions £40.
I have experience of working with a wide range of issues - depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, isolation, addiction, food and eating disorders, self-harm, physical and sexual abuse, domestic and family difficulties - yet essentially find that each of us brings a unique set of issues or difficulties when in need of support.
In our initial session we can begin to explore these, and get to know each other. I will do my best to answer any questions or concerns you may have, and knowing how difficult it can be to talk about very personal things, work to make this as comfortable for you as possible.
Counselling for sex addiction. Feeling out of control of sexual behaviours or pornography use is often something people suffer in secret. I offer counselling for sex addiction from my rooms in Norwich.
My rooms in central Norwich have full disability access.
