Hello. We all need some help in life and I am here to support you and work with you in any areas causing distress. You are not alone. We can work together to understand your difficulties and strengthen your mental health, using integrative therapy. I provide warm, empathic, non-judgemental counselling and walk alongside you on your journey.
You may be a young person or adult experiencing difficulties, or you may be a parent/carer of a young person and feel as if you're struggling to cope. I specialise in counselling young people and adults and would welcome the opportunity to support you at this challenging time. I am currently providing online and telephone counselling (for clients aged 16+) and outdoor 'walk and talk' therapy (for clients aged 18+).
You may feel anxious, under pressure, have low mood, be overwhelmed with thoughts and feelings, or simply feel unable to move forward with your life.
Please contact me or visit my website (see link above) and we can discuss how counselling may help. I look forward to speaking with you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified counsellor and Registered Member of the British Association For Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), as well as trained in 'Walk and Talk' outdoor therapy. My experience is primarily in providing online, telephone and face-to-face counselling to young people and adults, in educational settings, for the NHS, national charities and privately.
I use an integrative approach which allows me to tailor the counselling to the individual, and use elements from different counselling approaches.
I also offer a free initial information session, up to 30 minutes, so we can discuss if counselling may be right for you.
Continuing Professional Development
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is very important to me and I ensure I attend weekly CPD workshops. A sample of some of the training/workshops I have attended include:

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
