Sharon Langford. PG Cert, PG Dip. MBACP
Hello and Welcome. My name is Sharon Jayne Langford. I have been an Holistic Therapist for over 25 years, recognising how blocked emotions have an impact upon the body. This is why I progressed into the field of counselling, understanding the connection between mind and body.
I am a professional and Qualified Integrative counsellor psychotherapist, drawing upon three main theoretical frameworks, person-centred, CBT and psychodynamic. I also use do using and mindfulness techniques.
I feel it is important to work with you as an individual tailoring the counselling approaches to focus on the issues you consider to be the most important to you.
I offer short term therapy which typically is 6-8 weeks using solution focus and Cbt techniques and long term therapy sessions which generally work at a deeper emotional level looking into all life aspects. we will review together every 6 weeks for you to determine goals and areas you would still like to work on.
I counsel in a non-judgemental, warm & empathic and affordable way in helping you to explore your feelings, thoughts and behaviour enabling you to develop different perspectives and healthier coping strategies which can lead to facilitate change and overall wellbeing.
Therapy can can be about making a decision, moving in a new direction in life, gaining a new perspective and reconnecting with yourself.
