About me
Welcome,
I understand it can be daunting in selecting and reaching out to a counsellor. Highlighting, by researching this website, you are already making your first step.
You may feel overwhelmed with life's challenges and have queries such as, where do I begin? Who would be competent in working with me? Or what is a counselling approach? Consequently, I hope the following information will provide you with some clarity on your next steps.
I have been trained in a therapeutic approach called Integrative counselling. As an Integrative counsellor, I acknowledge that people come from all walks of life with a variety of issues. Therefore, I aim to cater to the specific needs of the individual as; I do not believe that one single approach can work effectively on every individual.
My practice is grounded in person-centred counselling whilst, integrating in a careful manner perspectives and practices from other approaches. I am grounded in the person-centred approach in order to build a strong and trustworthy therapeutic relationship.
I offer a safe, empathic and non-judgemental space for you to explore any difficulties, thoughts and emotions you may be experiencing. I believe you are the expert on your life therefore; I will walk alongside and guide you in reaching your own solutions. This can provide you with healing, clarity and the confidence to move forward and live a more fulfilling life.
As well as private practice, I presently work as a counsellor for a community-based charitable organisation.
I have experience in providing counselling to a diverse group of people with a range of difficulties. I specialise, but not limited to, working with trauma, abuse, sexual violence, grief and loss, low self-esteem and confidence, stress, relationship issues, anxiety and depression.
What to expect
I offer both, long and short-term counselling. I offer counselling via online video or telephone.
It is important for you to feel that the counsellor is the correct fit. Therefore, I offer a free twenty-minute introductory call.
This will give us the opportunity to explore what has been concerning you and, answer any queries you may have. As well as, providing you with a sense of me and how I work.
Then, if we decide to proceed we will agree a time that suits you for our weekly counselling sessions. You can email me and, we can arrange a time to speak over the phone. I look forward to hearing from you!

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
