About me

Hello! My name is Shanaz, and thank you for visiting my page.

I’m warm, friendly, and I love to smile! I understand that smiling can feel tough when life feels overwhelming or uncertain. Anxiety, low moods, and stress can leave us feeling stuck, but you don’t have to face it alone. Taking the first step toward support can feel daunting, and I’m here to help you through it.

You might be experiencing:

  • Constant worry, anxiety, or stress?
  • Low energy, feeling down, or struggling to stay positive?
  • Overwhelming thoughts that won’t quiet down?
  • Self-doubt or a lack of confidence in yourself?
  • Difficulties in relationships that feel too much to handle?

Finding the right therapist can make all the difference. I’m open-minded, patient, and collaborative. Together, we can work through the challenges you’re facing at a pace that feels right for you.

You are the expert of your own journey, and I’m here to support you in finding peace, confidence, and a sense of balance again.

As a counsellor & coach, I offer a safe space where you can talk openly about your worries and explore your feelings. Whether you're looking to manage anxiety, improve your mood, or better navigate relationships, I can help you develop new tools to feel more grounded and empowered.

Feedback from Clients:

People who’ve worked with me often say that I’m easy to talk to and grounded. They’ve shared how much they appreciate the support I offer in helping them make meaningful changes that feel right for them.

My Experience:

For over 10 years, I’ve supported people in various settings—education, the NHS, and charities. I’ve helped people through anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and times of crisis. My work is guided by a deep belief that everyone deserves a safe space to reflect, heal, and move forward with purpose and peace.

Taking the first step to seek support is a brave and empowering choice. I warmly invite you to reach out, and together, we can explore how I can support you in feeling better and moving forward.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
