About us
Hello and welcome, I’m Shale, the founder of Grey Space Counselling, a BABCP Accredited CBT Therapist and Integrative Counsellor (MBACP Registered). I am curious about what may have brought you here; I wonder if you are struggling with anxiety, experiencing low mood, whether you have suffered a loss or experienced a traumatic event? I wonder how you might be feeling; lost?, alone?, confused?, maybe not knowing where to turn. If this is the case, we may be able to help.
Our mission at Grey Space Counselling is to provide compassionate, non-judgemental and evidence-based therapy to help individuals navigate the ‘GREY’, understand self and support meaningful change. As a dual qualified therapist, I am able to offer a bespoke therapy experience tailored to meet your specific needs. Therapy is a collaborative process, and my goal is to empower clients to overcome their challenges and lead more fulfilling lives. We do this by navigating the GREY together.
At Grey Space Counselling we recognise that reaching out for help can feel daunting. To support you take your first step on this healing journey, I offer a FREE introductory call where we can explore how we might work together. Please contact me today or visit my website to learn more.

Member organisations *
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
