About me
Hello, I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and provide individual therapy to young people and adults.
I offer the convenience of seeing clients either face to face in a comfortable space in Gerrards Cross with private parking and easy access to public transport or online.
Aside from my private practice, my experience is drawn from working in an accredited counselling agency and as a counsellor in schools.
For many clients I see, it is their first time coming to counselling. Some will have struggled for some time before deciding to take the first step to get some help.
Part of my role is to provide a welcoming facilitative space that allows my clients to explore their thoughts and feelings at a deeper level. For some, it might be the first time they have had this opportunity.
The foundation of my practice is a person-centred approach. Through offering an honest, respectful, empathetic and non-judgemental approach, I create an atmosphere of warmth, openness and safety where my clients can feel understood, supported, affirmed and challenged.
Through this process of understanding, a person can begin to feel empowered to make changes in their life and decisions that feel right for them. I can support them in their process of change.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Taking the first step in finding a counsellor can be a bit daunting. The relationship between you and your counsellor is key to successful work together so it is important that you choose someone who feels truly right for you and your needs.
I offer a free 20-minute pre-consultation call so you can find out about me, my experience and how I work with my clients. This gives you a good opportunity to get a feel for me. It also helps me to understand a little of your current situation and why you are seeking therapy.
If you feel ready to take the first step, do get in touch. You can email me. I look forward to hearing from you.
Location
My location has private parking and is within 5 minutes of Gerrards Cross Rail Station and local bus services, making it easily accessible to surrounding areas including Seer Green, Beaconsfield, Denham, Ruislip, Amersham, Chalfont St Peter, Chalfont St Giles and Stoke Poges.
