About me

Welcome. I am a Counselling Psychologist and CBT and DBT therapist. My aim is to help you heal, energise, and become aware of your inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customising a treatment plan. My experience enables me to offer effective outpatient, individualised, psychological care. I treat a number of mental health disorders and provide a neutral ground to individuals, families, and couples.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an HCPC registered Counselling Psychologist and trained CBT and DBT therapist. I have been working in mental health for 9 years with both NHS and private health care experience. I work inline with my values of openness, integrity, non judgemental stance and positive regard. I have an interest in equality and diversity which is considered in the work I do and reflected in my academic research.

My training includes aDegree in Psychology and Criminology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology and a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
