About me

Hello, I'm Seana

I am qualified and accredited as a counsellor and a coach and I’ve discovered that the integration of these two approaches brings powerful results for my clients.

I offer counselling and therapeutic coaching to women who are navigating change in their lives or careers and I am especially passionate about helping to create a future where midlife women feel a strong sense of purpose and are living the lives that they want.

Why? Because all too often women give everything of themselves to those around them – their families, their partners, their bosses, their teams - and find that doing what they want to do for themselves is at the bottom of the list, if it is even on the list at all. We all deserve to follow our dreams and create the life that we want and I'm here to help you do that.

Are you feeling lost, stuck or unfulfilled with your career or your life?
If the answer to this question is yes, then it is likely that this is impacting how happy and satisfied you feel with your life.

With my signature transformational coaching program DISCOVER YOUR PATH - drawing on both therapy and coaching - I help midlife women find purpose, gain confidence and take action to create a clear path forward for their careers and lives. This might be following your own dreams for the first time or getting back to a career that you loved or slowing down and giving back by doing something that feels more aligned with your values. Whatever that path looks like for you the most important thing is it is YOUR path and it is chosen by YOU.

If you are interested in working with me but don’t feel that the Discover Your Path programme is quite right for you, I can create a bespoke coaching programme for you, tailored to your own coaching goals.

If you feel that you need some more in-depth therapy before being ready for coaching due to past trauma or loss, I have a limited number of weekly counselling slots in Godalming (Monday afternoons) and Guildford (Friday mornings).

For counselling, I work with a person-centred approach so if you take a weekly slot, it will be your slot for as long as you want to continue with counselling.

I will provide a warm, safe and judgement-free space where we can work collaboratively together. I will gently challenge when appropriate to facilitate different or new perspectives. We will be curious together as we work towards a greater understanding of what is going on for you.

I will focus on what is happening for you in the present, but we may also talk about past experiences and relationships if they are impacting you in the here and now.

As a person-centred counsellor, I believe that you are the expert in yourself and your own life. I don’t offer solutions or advice but will work collaboratively with you as you find your own way forward to happier times.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
