Sean Kearney ~ Registered Member MBACP
Hi, I'm Sean, I offer a friendly and confidential one-to-one counselling service.
Counselling is as individual and unique as the client and as such my approach considers the whole person, not just one aspect. As a counsellor, I do not believe there is a "one size fits all" therapy.
Some issues adults and young people have brought to the counselling room are bereavement and loss, anxiety, depression, stress and relationship issues; including physical and emotional abuse. This is not an exclusive list, whatever you bring is pertinent to you and will be heard within the room. The counselling room, is a safe space to explore your feelings and thoughts.
I work in a holistic way, keeping all of the client in mind when building a tailor-made therapeutic intervention to suit the unique needs of each individual client. My approach to counselling with you will be personal to you helping you identify what your goals and aims are, what experiences and issues you bring will be held within the counselling room for you to explore.
My core theory is person centred, which means the sessions are client lead and not directed by the counsellor. I will be empathic, honest and non-judgemental with you throughout our sessions together.
Choosing to have counselling does not define your ability with what comes your way, it defines your willingness to explore the possibilities. My client’s welfare and comfort are my first consideration above all else.
