About me

Using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques and treatments I offer help with the following difficulties:

Anxiety & depression

Suicidal Ideation

Self injury/self harm

Confidence & self esteem issues

Pet bereavement

HIV and related health and psychological issues

Grief & loss

I have been practising for ten years as a counsellor and more recently as a CBT therapist and have had the privilege of spending time with people who wanted to talk through difficult issues.

Because life can throw up difficult challenges at any time, finding a therapist who can relate to you and your problems becomes more important. I offer a confidential and safe environment where we can begin the process of developing a trusting relationship in order that you difficulties and problems can be discussed in full and solutions discovered.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Certificate in Higher Education in Counselling since 2008 and subsequently have successfully completed a Graduate Certificate in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy at De Montfort University, Leicester. I have completed an 8 week course in Mindfulness, OCN level 2 in Drug and Substances addiction, Cert of Diploma Education in Life Coaching (Merit), and further courses in Motivational Interviewing, Alcohol and Self harm, Trauma, as well as Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection and I hold an Enhanced Disclosure Certificate.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

CBT can help with anxiety and depression and will need you to carry out activities that we plan together between sessions.

My fees are £40 per session but please talk to me about affordability if required.

Further information

It is important that when you see a counsellor their services feel safe and secure. I work within the Ethical Code of the BACP and understand the need for you to feel that I can be trusted - all sessions are confidential, and discretion is respected at all times.
