Saundra Rhoden (MBACP, Dip Gestalt Counselling)
Hello and welcome. Have you been finding it difficult to manage your emotions? Perhaps your mood has been low and you can not find a way out? I offer counselling to help people to overcome a range of emotional difficulties including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family issues, separation and divorce, bereavement and loss, low mood and sadness, and low self-esteem. I am a qualified Gestalt Counsellor who works with individuals and couples. I have experience of working with adults within the NHS and charitable organisations, with a background in Adult Social Work, due to my interest in social justice and equality. I have years of experience working with adults who have mental health concerns, learning disabilities, and physical health problems.
How I work
Gestalt therapy allows space to explore feelings of 'stuckness' by enabling you to tolerate emotions that were previously unspoken, ignored or unknown. The aim is to support increased awareness of fixed ways of thinking and feeling, by working at a pace that is right for you, without forcing change to happen. Therapy also includes verbal and non-verbal ways of communicating emotions, including drawing, writing, and physical movement.
The decision to find a Counsellor is not easy, so it is important to find the right person for you. I provide a safe, confidential space to explore what is holding you back. I invite you to make contact so that we can find out whether what I offer suits you.
