I am an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor who acknowledges that we are all unique. Therefore I use various theoretical frameworks (including but not limited to the psychodynamic) in order to cater to the needs of each client.
I am a member of The Black African and Asian Therapeutic Network (BAATN) and I am committed to working sensitively with issues related difference and diversity.
I am a member of the BACP and follow their code of conduct for good practice. I am also fully insured and supervised by a member of the UKCP.
My private practice is based off of Northcote Road and accessible via Clapham Common underground, Clapham Junction overground and local bus numbers: 35, 37, 49, 77, 156, 319, 337, 345 and G1. It is a 15min journey from Waterloo, 20min journey from Surbiton & 30min from Kings Cross St. Pancras.
Sessions are flexible, available face to face, over the phone and online. I offer weekdays, evening and weekends. Each session lasts for 50 minutes.
I recognise the value of low cost counselling for this reason I reserve a few concessionary spaces for low-income clients.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained at the University of Roehampton and have an MSc in Counselling & Psychotherapy. I have fifteen years experience working with children and young people, as well as eleven years working with individuals with special educational needs. I have provided free counselling for five years specialising in working with individual's and children from low-income families in South West London.
I am a trained Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) tutor and also receive regular supervision for this as well as for my Psychotherapeutic practice. I have a lot of experience working with clients who suffer from anxiety, depression, relationship issues and feelings of sadness and or loneliness.
