About me
Hello ... I'm Sasha Archer and I am a Psychodynamic Therapist. I am visually impaired and I would normally have a guide dog with me, but while I wait for another, I use a long cane.
- Are you finding it difficult to understand where you fit in life right now?
- Do you feel disconnected with people and situations where you would normally feel connected?
- Do you feel misunderstood by people and find it challenging to say what you truly feel?
- Have you found that you dedicate much of your time and energy to others and forget about looking after yourself?
- Do you feel lost?
- Do you have very little interest in, or energy for, yourself?
- Does life feel too busy and chaotic?
- Do you sometimes feel unseen and not listened to, because you are not able to go at the pace that you feel society expects you to go at?
Feeling safe, in a place that enables you to feel comfortable to share your experiences, feelings and emotions, is very important to me. It might be that feeling safe is unfamiliar to you, so it might take you time to feel settled, but what I will always do is walk alongside you, as we explore together. In time, the space in the therapy room will enable you to begin finding hidden aspects of yourself that either you had forgotten about or that you never knew. There might be times that therapy feels like you are trudging through a boggy squelch of sludge, where everything feels too hard, but in time, therapy will enable you to begin exploring who you really are and what it feels like to be you.
Rather than list here all the possible reasons why you might be experiencing challenges in life, I prefer an initial phone call of up to 30 minutes to enable you to describe why you are now looking to have therapy. I prefer to work longer term, as this provides plenty of therapeutic hours for you to grow into your therapy space and to feel comfortable and settled with me.
I work face-to-face, but can also work via phone calls. The sessions are 50 minutes long, and cost £45. For students and those earning a low income or unemployed, we can chat about your affordability when we speak during the initial phone call.
You can reach me on 07349 725198.
