Sarah Wilford (MBACP, PGDip, BSc(Hons))
Would you like help with life's daily challenges? Are you finding life hard work, not enjoying the things you used to or trying to manage a low mood? Would you like to talk to someone who listens to you and wants to understand and help you to find a better way of living? I provide a friendly environment, where you can talk about your thoughts, feeling and ideas in a non-judgemental, safe space. I offer confidential, one-to-one counselling sessions at the Torus Wellbeing Clinic (Shelton, Stoke-on-Trent) and am available for home visits where it is appropriate, please ask for details. I am also able to offer animal-assisted therapy with my retired greyhound for those who would like to try an alternative to traditional counselling.
Training, qualifications & experience
I graduated from Keele University with a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology and am a full member of the BACP.
I have significant experience of working with depression, including post-natal depression, anxiety, trauma and grief. My work at a local hospice and personal experience has given me with a wealth of understanding surrounding bereavement, terminal illness and life-changing events.

Individual sessions start from £40, couples counselling from £60 per session and animal-assisted therapy starts from £65 per session
I am here for you and no one else. I will not judge, lecture or criticise you and will work with you to find out what works for you. You decide what you want from the sessions, you decide how many times you see me, and you decide what works and what we talk about. I am not an expert in your life, you are.
