Sarah Wicks MACC Dip. Couns
A warm welcome. Are you looking to make sense of where you are? Do you long to say what’s really going on for you? Do you feel that life is more than you can handle on your own? If you are feeling overwhelmed and lost, struggling with life’s stresses and anxiety but think now is the time to address your difficulties - then I invite you to read on.
If you are the parent or carer of a young person battling their way through our fast paced & challenging world that we find ourselves in, trying to work out 'who they are', and how they can cope, then I also invite you to read on.
Working as an integrative therapist means that I focus on addressing your needs. Whilst offering you established techniques and strategies to improve symptoms of stress, anxiety or low mood - I will also be supporting you on your journey to discover solutions which can bring resolution, recovery and healing.
I am passionate about facilitating positive change for young people, I enjoy working with this group, and am keen to explore ways of building resilience, self-confidence and self-esteem, whilst giving them a space to be both seen and heard.
Counselling can offer personal growth, developing healthier relationships, a greater ability to trust yourself, achieving better self-awareness, to release feelings of guilt, insecurity and defensiveness, to see improvements in self expression and achieve a healthy sense of change overall. I’ve gained deep personal satisfaction in being part of this transformation process.
Within an empathic, accepting and non-judgemental relationship, we will work together at your pace to recognise your strengths, creativity and choices. I offer a place for you to pause; make sense of where you are, to say what's going on & be heard. I am also informed that ‘kindness’ is my superpower.
Working with anxiety, stress, low mood, life/relationship issues, addiction, trauma, self-harm, abuse & loss. I believe in hope, possibility and that everyone has the power to change. I believe that there is always a choice; or another way. I work with adults, and young people irrespective of religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, race or nationality.
Sessions are held weekly in pleasant, comfortable private rooms conveniently located in Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells or Tonbridge. I offer face to face individual counselling for adults and young people.
