Dr Sarah Tomlinson (DClinpsych, MSc HealthPsychol, BSc.Hons.)
I am a clinical psychologist with many years experience of working with adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties. I draw from a range of models, including CBT, mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. However, I believe the most important element of therapy is feeling connected, validated and understood, and from this, being gently and kindly offered new perspectives. I work with people to develop a shared formulation around their difficulties which we can use to guide therapy.
In addition, I also specialise in Autism and/or learning disabilities. As well as diagnosis, I offer 1:1 therapy and support, following a diagnosis or for people experiencing distress.
I know it can be very daunting to go to therapy, and I really respect that.
