How I work:
I offer a safe, warm and confidential space for you to be listened to and heard.
Working together we will talk through the issues that have brought you to counselling, exploring the thoughts and feelings you have surrounding these and looking at the emotions and experiences that lie underneath and at their heart. Enabling you to explore your experiences without judgement, I will help you recognise unhelpful patterns, outdated ways of coping, developing self-awareness, gaining new insight and perspective and most importantly, enabling you to create the changes you want.
I use an integrative approach and draw from different theoretical perspectives offering differing ways to view and work with problems. The approaches I work with are a combination of Humanistic/Person-Centred, Existential, Psychodynamic, Cognitive-Behavioural, Transactional Analysis and Mindfulness. Having received high quality training in Integrative Counselling with an emphasis on working ethically I put ethical working at the heart of my practice and work to high standards.
