About me

Anxious, overwhelmed, and can’t switch off? Let’s change that.

On the outside, you’ve got it together. On the inside, your brain doesn’t seem to switch off.

You’re a professional who’s used to being capable, reliable, and the one others turn to. But behind the scenes, it can feel relentless, overthinking everything, running on empty, and never quite switching off, no matter how hard you try.

At some point, pushing through stops working.

I offer a real, down-to-earth space where we can cut through the noise and get to what’s actually going on. No overcomplicating, just honest conversations that help you understand yourself, set clearer boundaries, and feel more in control of your time and energy.

I also use simple, creative tools when it fits. Nothing awkward or forced. don't worry, no-one likes cringy role play, just practical ways to help you step out of your head and see things differently (which is often where the overthinking lives right?).

About Me

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked as a registered nurse in the NHS, so I understand first-hand the pressure that comes with high-responsibility roles and constantly being “on.”

I have a deep interest in supporting people through stress, overwhelm, grief, loss, and life transitions. I know how hard it can be to reach out when you’re struggling and I aim to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, respected, and never rushed (with an added bonus of a hot cuppa).

If you’re ready for things to actually shift, not just talking about the same patterns, but changing them, you’re welcome to get in touch to arrange a FREE 15-minute telephone chat, or even book a first session if that feels right for you. Something has to change, this could be a good place to start.

Let's talk.

Training, qualifications & experience

My sessions are based around you, your needs and your goals. I work using different models of counselling where appropriate and necessary giving you a space to explore what’s happening for you and a chance to talk and be heard and understood.

I am also a registered nurse with significant experience working in a hospital setting with patients and families, giving me excellent understanding of wellbeing, health and self-care and the impact change and loss have on us all.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
