About me

Hello, I'm Sarah, a counsellor, supervisor and trainer with more than 21 years of ethically supervised experience. I work with clients including children, young people and adults of all ages.  This includes therapy with individuals with special educational needs, their families and partners.

I’m qualified and experienced in a huge variety of environments, with many different issues. I work ethically within safe limits.

With an approach which integrates psychodynamic, person-centred and pluralistic understandings, I offer a flexible way to meet your therapy needs.

Therapy and supervision are currently available  online only.

Training, qualifications & experience

My qualifications include an MA in Psychodynamic Counselling from the University of Leicester and a postgraduate certificate in supervision from Metanoia in London. I add to my skills with continuing professional development activities every year. My experience spans 21 years of supervised practice in a huge variety of environments, working with children, young people and adults of all ages.

I'm a registered member of BACP, as well as the BACP Children, Young People & Families group.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
