Hello and welcome to my profile.
Life’s challenges and the relationships we forge can seem overwhelming at times. Problems can arise that you just can’t seem to figure out. My aim is to offer you a safe space to be listened to without judgement and where you can figure out your next steps.
I offer an integrative approach to counselling. This means the relationship is at the heart of what I offer and it allows us, as a team, to explore ways in which you can address the issue at hand and together we will identify where you are now and where you wish to be. My approach is always tailor made and will be unique to you.
Please don’t hesitate to call me or email me with any query or to set up an initial session.
My one to one sessions are held in either Ilkley, Saltaire or Calverley and can be weekly or fortnightly to best suite you.
However during these difficult times I’m offering counselling via the phone, email, Skype, FaceTime or Zoom only.
Training, qualifications & experience
I’ve volunteered for a charity that worked specifically with abuse (emotional, sexual and physical), and am currently working with a bereavement charity.
I keep my continuous professional development up to date by attending regular courses and reading. I attend regular supervision.
I have previously worked in the education sector for 20 years, where I understand the issues within.
I studied in Leeds where I attained my Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and a Level 3 certificate in Hypnotherapy.
I’m a member of the National Counselling Society and have full professional indemnity insurance.
