There are many reasons that may have brought you to this page and to be considering counselling.
Whatever the reason may be I aim to offer a safe, confidential yet open space to speak about whatever may be troubling you.
I offer a down to earth, non-judgemental approach.
I am trained in integrative counselling and this gives me a wide range of knowledge in a variety of approaches to draw upon and utilise.
Working together we can work out the best way for you to get what you came to counselling for.
Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, low self-confidence, relationship problems or simply feel you need a space to just have your voice heard, speak about things that are worrying you, shout, cry or express you frustrations, I hope to be able to offer you the space to be able to do this.
First point of call is to have a chat over the phone. We can then decide if we want to meet for an initial consultation session in person, where we can talk about what might be useful to you and explore if I am the right person for you.
There is no commitment or obligation to continue after this meeting, however if we both agree to continue after this initial session we can then continue to meet for further counselling sessions.
I offer short and long term counselling.
I am a registered member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and therefore practice within their ethical framework and guidelines.
I am fully insured and have an up to date CRB check.
As part of my continuing professional development I attend regular supervision and professional development workshops.

Whilst I am trained in working from many different approaches and with a wide range of problems and enjoy the variety of the nature of the work I have a particular interest in working creatively.
I combine creative interventions (dependant on the clients wishes) as well as you use of metaphor and imagery,
I find this can be a really helpful way of working which can use people creative descriptive skills without the initial necessity to talk directly about things which people might find difficult.
I also have experience of working with pre and post natal women with a variety of problems.
I have also run a self awarenes group called beyond birth on many occasions.
