About me
As a fully accredited CBT therapist I offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, using evidence based strategies, with empathy and a non-judgemental approach. I have loved working in mental health services for over 19 years and as a result, I hold a rich evidence based skill set, along with a genuine enthusiasm to help you reach your goals. I am qualified and experienced in working with symptoms of anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, illness anxiety, social anxiety, low self esteem, high criticism, living with chronic pain, managing life transitions and many other challenges.
I am registered with the British Association for Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapies (BABCP) and I am also a registered Interpersonal Psychotherapy Practitioner (IPT). I am able to integrate skills gained from further training in approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT).

I am a MBABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Therapist and offer this evidenced based therapy with empathy and a non-judgemental approach.
I am a registered Interpersonal Psychotherapy Practitioner (IPT).
I have trained in and received certification for providing CBT for those clients living with long term health conditions.
I have completed supervisor training and supervise other CBT therapists.
I am able to integrate skills gained from further training in approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT).

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
