About me
Hello and welcome. I'm Sarah, a registered counsellor and psychotherapist dedicated to providing compassionate support for both adults and children. I work online and face-to-face, offering short and long-term therapy.
I am a warm, empathic counsellor and can offer a secure space in which we can explore together any difficulties you might be facing. Perhaps you have experienced a loss and you're finding it hard to make sense of it, maybe you are struggling to get out of bed each day and wondering what the point of it all is. It might be your child is refusing to go to school, experiencing anxiety or struggling with emotional regulation. I will take time to explore and understand what you may wish to gain from counselling and together we will discuss your hopes and aspirations. As an Integrative therapist, I offer a tailored approach for each client, endeavouring to understand your perspective and needs. Together we can examine what has contributed to you seeking help.
I work with adults and children facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, loss, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions. My goal is to help individuals build resilience, enhance coping strategies, and encourage personal growth. For younger clients, I use age-appropriate interventions to address concerns such as behavioural issues, academic stress, family dynamics, and emotional regulation.
I am a Registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP) and of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (MNCPS).
An initial telephone or Zoom conversation is an opportunity for us to explore working together, and for you to see if you would like to work with me in the future. I work in my rooms in South West London, including Twickenham, Teddington, Richmond and Kingston, all with easy access to public transport.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society
This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations.
In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
