Sarah Edge BSc (Hons) Dip. PC PGCE (MSc) PG Dip MBACP Edge Therapy
phone number provided following email contact
My name is Sarah Edge and I am qualified person centred therapist working privately from home in Sale, Manchester.
I offer affordable person centred counselling. I am able to keep the cost low by working from home, in the top room of my house.
It is important to me that counselling becomes more accessible and affordable to anyone that wants it. I can work with you through whatever you are going through and have experience working with trauma, depression, anxiety, alcohol & substance misuse, domestic violence, suicidal thoughts, physical ill- health, amongst other things. You may know what you want to bring and talk about in counselling, or you may feel 'stuck' in life and want to give therapy a go, you are welcome to bring anything you wish, and this will be kept confidential. In the first session I will discuss with you in greater detail my confidentiality policy and process of counselling, or we can discuss this by phone or email before you start, whichever you prefer.
I try to be as flexible as possible with appointments, to make counselling as accessible as I possible can. I usually contract for between 6 and 10 sessions, either weekly or fortnightly sessions, which can be discussed prior to counselling or during the first session.
Personal Counselling is an important part of any counselling and psychotherapy training course but (from experience) I know that the cost of becoming a counsellor is high and the need for affordable counselling is essential. This is why I decided to offer lower rates to those on any Counselling and Psychotherapy training course.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
