Sarah Day - Flourish Play and Creative Arts Therapy MBACP
About me
Maybe your child is worried or anxious and you have decided that now is the time to take the first steps to dealing with the issue. Maybe something unexpected has happened and your child has lost their confidence or self esteem. If your child is starting to struggle with their emotions maybe play therapy could help?
My therapy space is a playroom and I provide a warm, inviting safe space where your child can explore their worries using toys, games and the creative arts. Working at your child's pace I am there alongside them as they explore, express and experiment with new ways of thinking and feeling.
I work with children and young people from 4-13. Older children and Tweens often respond well to the creative arts and expressive and symbolic play.
Getting Started- Please call or email to arrange a free 20 minute chat. We will talk about what your child needs from play therapy. If you are happy to continue then we can arrange a longer appointment to gather some information and discuss your child's difficulties in detail.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Play Therapy UK
Play Therapy UK is the largest organisation governing therapeutic play and play therapy in the United Kingdom. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information
If you are worried or concerned about your child, let's have a no obligation chat over the phone to explore how play therapy can support your child.
It's always better when you and I can work together as a team to support your child. We can meet up every 6 weeks to see how things are going at home and at school. I also work with parents to enhance their communication skills with their child through Parent and Child Attachment Play (PCAP) workshops. Maybe you are looking for ways of strengthening your communication with your child? We can have a chat to discuss this too!
