About me
Hello and welcome.
Young people face many challenges in the modern world which can be hard to understand and navigate as an individual or as a family, and which may require additional support.
As a young person's therapist I am passionate and dedicated to supporting young people through these turbulent times.
I will work with you and your young person using a client-centered, empathetic and creative approach, using arts, play and nature- based techniques that have been individually tailored to support your young person, that will ensure young people have space to explore their world, and support their self concept and emotional resilience and well being. I believe collaboration is essential to working with young people, and work carefully and sensitively with young people and their families.
As a person-centered integrative practitioner, my work is based on a deep respect for people and I am committed to empowering people to explore their own understandings and make your own choices. I emphasis the importance of connection and relationship in all of my work.
I believe connection to the natural world is also fundamental to positive emotional health, and offer therapeutic work using the natural world. Along with my dedicated therapy space I also offer a small therapeutic garden to explore and support our work.
I have 20 years experience supporting with children and young people, as teacher and SENDCO, a lecturer at Exeter University, Child in Care advocate, working with schools, therapeutic fostering agencies, and CAMHS.
I am trained to Masters level in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy for Children, Adolescents, and Families from Roehampton University, and I currently hold the role of therapist at Kingsbridge Community College, The Apricot Center, Dartington.
I hold the highest level of safeguarding training- L3 Designated Safeguarding Lead, and have an enhanced DBS.
I am currently welcoming private clients, so please contact me to see how we can work together.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
