About me

Sarah is a qualified registered counsellor (Bacp) working face to face online - experienced in working with issues such as domestic abuse, trauma, anxiety, stress, grief & loss and relationship difficulties.

Looking for a counsellor in itself is a really positive step, whilst at the same time, it may also be quite overwhelming. Sarah will be happy to answer any questions you may have about her counselling practice.

Being trained in person-centred counselling, may help you to reconnect with your own skill set and values, building on self-awareness.

Trauma-informed counselling involves the normalising of symptoms through the understanding that what you may be experiencing are normal responses to abnormal events/situations.

Sarah can provide both short- and long-term therapy (adult individuals 18 +) through online sessions face-to-face using a secure platform.

It is important you find someone you will feel comfortable with. Sarah offers a warm hearted, friendly approach, to help explore your concerns, along with finding creative strategies that will work for you, especially ones that will help with day to day life-every person is unique in their own right and together you can work towards gaining more of an understanding of issues that you have brought.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
