About me

Hi, I am Sarah.

I offer professional Counselling for children, teenagers and adults experiencing Anxiety, GAD generalised Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, depression, sadness, anger and other mental health issues from my therapy room - Dewdrop Counselling Service in Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire. If you are nervous and would like a chat on the phone to introduce ourselves to each other then give me a call, I'm here to help.

Making it easier for you

I am a friendly approachable person very eager to make the counselling process easier for you or your family member by being accepting, relaxed and welcoming so please don't be afraid to make contact to ask me any questions.

I understand

I appreciate how difficult it is when you just don't feel ok, are feeling anxious, sometimes you know what is causing your problems other times you don't. At every point in our lives we encounter new barriers and anxieties that we can find difficult, wether its work, health, marriage, children, parents, family or bereavement but you don’t have to suffer this alone. Wether you are male, female young or mature there are issues that arise during your life that are not easy to cope with but this is when a counsellor can help you most. I understand its really difficult to seek help when we need it but its ok to not be ok, and there is always someone to turn too. I can offer you a safe secure non judgmental environment to discover what it is you are looking for.

How I work

I work in an integrative way which means I can offer a variety of modalities to work with often adjusting my approach to suit your needs as an individual or personal preferences for example Person Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy CBT or Transaction Analysis.

As an example it is sometimes helpful to go back into our life's to explore our development and experiences which can help us understand what is going on for us today however if you feel this is not relevant exploration about 'what life is like for you now' offers real support for you when you need to feel genuine empathy. There is the possibility that by learning new strategies and techniques you can become more in control of your life which builds confidence and self esteem.

Counselling is a unique relationship built on trust and confidentiality so I ensure you my work is private and discreet.

I value genuine communication which reflects in my work, ensuring you feel comfortable to explore any issues you may like to.

My aim is to dismiss myths about counselling and who it is for because it is for any man, woman or child that would benefit from a therapeutic relationship, using that unique space to improves their lives by exploring, reflecting and learning.

I have a particular interest in anxiety and it’s effects. I can offer knowledge and understanding about your anxiety enabling you to understand where this reaction is coming from and what you can do to regain control.
