Welcome to my counselling practice in the village of Onich, near Fort William, in the Scottish Highlands. I am a qualified and experienced person-centred counsellor and work from home in a ground-floor room for easy access. My space offers confidentiality and a private, safe place where you can talk through the important things that matter to you.
Training, qualifications & experience
My main training was at the Metanoia Institute in London, where I graduated with a first-class honours degree in 2012. I then obtained a post-graduate certificate in the Focusing-Oriented approach at the University of East Anglia. Other influences in my training have been the Central American Spirituality Institute in Guatemala and the Creative Connections Centre in Cumbria. I am currently working towards a COSCA certificate qualification for the supervision of counsellors.
I have been a counsellor and facilitator of personal development work since 2008. As well as being in private practice, I have worked with community-based charities, including L’Arche Lambeth and the Bromley Community Counselling Service in London. I currently serve as a volunteer counsellor with Lochaber Hope in Fort William and Abbeyfield in Ballachulish.
Areas of counselling I deal with
My fees for counselling are intentionally positioned to make the service affordable and accessible to people on modest incomes. I offer a sliding scale, with fees ranging from £10 to £35 per session, for a session of between 45 minutes and one hour.
As the client, you are welcome to choose how long you want to meet for and how much you wish to pay, within this range.
For counselling supervision, please enquire regarding fees.
