About me

I'm glad you're here. If you're finding things difficult or struggling in any way, please get in touch.

Counselling provides a space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings, addressing the cause and not just treating the symptoms, empowering you to achieve your full potential and to live a fulfilling life.

I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling which has an integrative approach meaning I have been trained in different theories. I have experience in a range of issues including anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship issues and many other challenges we face in life.

I am also a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist trained in Regression and Past Life Regression Hypnotherapy.

I offer short-term and open-ended therapy which is uniquely tailored to your needs.

My room is relaxing and comfortable. If appropriate, a home visit can be arranged.

I'd welcome your call, text or email. If I am with a client my phone will be on silent, but if you leave a message I will get back to you as soon as possible. I look forward to meeting you and being part of your journey, ready for the life you want to live.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling but feel all I have experienced and learned has been a lifelong journey to this qualification.

I qualified as a Mental Health Nurse in June 2000 but gave up my registration a few years ago. Although I learnt a lot I wanted to work with the person rather than a diagnosis. That is what counselling has given me.

I work holistically, taking into account all the different parts of who we are. I have an interest in how the body and mind work together and use different tools to connect with this.

All we are and all we can be is inside us, we just need to discover it.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
