About me
Life’s circumstances have a way of challenging us and every once in a while, we can lose hope. I’m a qualified integrative counsellor meaning I integrative three main approaches, psychodynamic, person centred & cognitive behavioural therapy in order to meet your individual needs, Although by job title I am a counsellor most of all I am human just like yourselves and have a passion for mental health & wellbeing. I believe that sometimes from time to time we lose our sparkle and need that extra bit of support, which is where I come in, my main aim is to help you to get your sparkle back in a safe and non-judgemental manner.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have over 10 years of experience in a range of mental health difficulties and worked in various different settings with people from all walks of life. I currently work as a University counsellor and provide therapy for students which has enabled me to work with a wide range of presenting issues, providing short term therapy, I also have experience in working more longer term and have worked in a school setting with young people aged 11+. In addition to this I have also worked with adults in my private practice.
I work in a client centred way to suit your individual needs, you can discuss as much or as little as you want as my main aim is to ensure that you feel comfortable in the work we do together, whether you require short- or long-term therapy I aim to work with you at your own pace in order to help you gain the most you need out of therapy.
I understand that therapy itself & finding the right therapist for you can be a daunting experience, please get in touch with me if you have any questions or arrange a free consultation so we can speak about what it is that you require.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
