About me
Hello I'm Sandra!
I work from a Humanistic perspective, focusing on how early experiences and learned patterns of behavior shape who we are and how we feel about ourselves today.
My approach is grounded in the belief that through awareness and self-exploration, we can create meaningful change in our lives.
I value the therapeutic relationship as a unique and powerful space, an opportunity to explore your inner world alongside someone who is impartial, supportive, and fully present.
I bring empathy, honesty, and respect to our work, and offer a safe environment where you can reflect and grow.
Before working as a psychotherapist, I spent over 20 years in a corporate role. The firsthand experience of managing the pressures of a demanding career while raising a family gives me a deep understanding of the complexities many people face in balancing personal and professional life.
I began my psychotherapy journey in 2008, initially focused on my own personal development and then went on to complete my full professional training in 2011.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and continue to engage in ongoing professional development.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained in Humanistic Psychotherapy at Spectrum Therapy Centre in North London, now known as The Highgate Studio, where I continue to work.
I also see clients from my private practice in Bromley, South London.
What shaped me most during my training was the experiential approach — meaning I had to do the deep work on myself first, and that’s something I’ve never stopped doing. I believe that to support others well, you have to be willing to look at yourself with honesty and compassion.
I am a member of the BACP and abide by their code of ethics.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
